Gloucestershire Cafes & Tea Shops
Gloucestershire Cafes & Tea Shops cater for all tastes and can be found throughout the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and the Severn Vale regions.
The English Tea Shop is known throughout the world for it's traditional style, freshly made cream cakes, and pots of tea to be found in England and in particular in the Cotswolds where the tradition of taking tea dates back 300 years.
Good food is a big part of the holiday experience, whether it's in a sophisticated restaurant, or in a simple pub. Either way, you're never far from good food and drink in the Cotswolds - and not just in hotels and restaurants.
Gloucestershire is an agricultural area and its food producers have wonderful cheese, wines, fruits, vegetables, beers, pork, and lamb. You should be able to buy these from local shops in towns and villages in Gloucestershire, or at one of the many Farmers Markets held regularly in the market towns.
There are some excellent Gloucestershire Cafes & Tea Shops and nothing beats a good Cotswold cream tea, which usually consists of two delicious home-made scones, strawberry jam & clotted cream plus a pot of tea. Prices vary & so will quality but you can expect to pay on average £4 - 5 for each serving. Of course cream teas are only part of the cuisine as there is normally much more to satisfy most appetites anytime during the day.
