Forest Of Dean Accommodation
Forest Of Dean Accommodation has many options for you to choose from. You can be sure to find something to suit your taste and budget. Situated in the picturesque village of Clearwell, near Coleford, within walking distance of Clearwell Castle, the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel provides an ideal setting for a relaxed stay within the Royal Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. The hotel, reputed to have been originally built in the 13th Century, retains many original features including oak beams and wooden spiral staircases.

There are 22 well-appointed double, twin and family rooms, all with en-suite facilities and some with four-poster beds or jacuzzi corner baths. The AA Two Rosettes candle-lit restaurant serves superb food from the a la carte menu. Private parties can also be catered for and business guests can hold meetings in our function room for up to 35 people.

The hotel has 14 acres of grounds to explore - deemed an area of Special Scientific Interest due to the rare and varied flora that can be found on the banks and rock outcrops. Pets welcome!

Squirrel Cottage is located in Parkend near Lydney and has a woodland setting with an open fire and a garden gate into the forest. It is close to the village shop and pubs. Dogs are welcome.

Pelerine Camping and Caravan Park is a beautiful family run park with the highest standards in washroom/shower facilities, with wonderful views of the Cotswolds providing a haven of peace and is safe for children. It is situated in Newent close to the M5 and M50 and central for visiting the Forest of Dean and Cotswolds. It is a small and select park with pitches in hardstanding and extensive lawn pitches. French styled with 'avenues' and 'boulevards'. Groups welcome. Resident warden providing 24 hours security. Dogs welcome.

You will have no trouble thinking what to write on your postcards if you stay in this Youth Hostel at St Briavels, housed in a moated Norman castle. Originally built as a hunting lodge for King John in 1205 on the site of an earlier stronghold, its towers were added in 1293 as part of the Ring of Stone around Wales. Its a unique experience, especially when you enter into the ancient spirit with medieval banquets on Wednesdays and Saturdays in August.
